About

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I travel A LOT for work. But I never let that get in the way of the 1 thing I love the most…Staying fit. I make it a point to hunt down the best gyms in every city I visit. Coming from a small town in upstate New York we only had 1 tiny warehouse gym. It wasn’t the best, but it got the job done back then. So it’s crazy to see the evolution of gyms over the past 30 years. From the tiny old school mom and pop townie gyms, to the mega clubs that seem like fitness resorts, to the high-end private gyms that have figured out the right balance between “old school” and modern, the options are endless. I have visited nearly 200 gyms around the world, usually multiple in the same city. I base my reviews on overall experience, customer service, quality of equipment, cleanliness, and value based on the membership prices. I also take into account the current reviews the gym already has and see if those reviews match up to my own experience. Each gym I’ve visited at least 1 time, and the best ones I’ve come back to when I visit that city again. My hope is that you use my gym guide for your own travels. This way you don’t waste any time hunting around and guessing the best gyms…I’ve already done all the work for you. Enjoy! — Andrew Tannerfield
